Sounds like classic case of vapor lock to me. The key is after awhile the car once again ran great, almost any other trouble would persist. Replace the heat shield may help, as would maybe rerouting

I have not posted to the list for quite some time but I experienced a problem over the weekend. I have a 1967 SRL311 2000, 2l, Solex twin Mikuni set up. ser # 00239. My daughter was Junior Miss Carib

certainly sounds like fuel vapourisation - or possibly spark plugs oiling up - I gather you were just idling along - my 67 2000 doesn't have a heat defector plate and unless I give the engine a good
