Morning all. I took the 2000 out Saturday for a quick run to see check a few things. The car was not running hot but I now need to clean out the brake lines. However, I have a more pressing concern.

I had something similar happen to my 69 2L. It nearly drove me crazy before I accidentally found a loose screw on the side of the dizzy where the coil wire connects to the dizzy. Sometimes it made c

Yep, I had the wire from the points to the condenser break. The outside looked fine, but the wire was coming apart - ran great, then not..... Like Tim, took forever to figure that one out. Phil SEROC

Next time it dies, just check for spark by pulling coil wire and place where you see it and turn starter. The internal wire for the points could be broken. I hit a bump and my 69 2000 died with this
