Do keep in mind that if you order too little offset (the wheel too close to the car) it's easy to spacer 'em out. Not so much so if they already come with too much offset!
The L series is certainly not as ubiquitous in the junkyard as it used to be. Saw one in a (late) 510 the other day and was surprised at how few I'd seen recently....
yeah, but would you dare strap a honkin' big turbo onto the side of your U20??? With the L, you can, and if it goes 'bang' then you go get more parts and start again! For less than the cost of the ti
someone's been watching way too much Barrett-Morons on the teevee... of course, having said that, it'll probably go to Japan, and maybe offset our trade deficit a little... Toby
But yeah, what he saved on timing chain replacements he spent on the blower! hee hee hee... And isn't that just sitting up and begging for an intercooler???
Keith's right the gaskets will age just fine on their own. However, your average DCOE has almost NO soft parts in it, so they age very well indeed. The exception might be if it has rubber needle seat
If you've done it RIGHT and gotten both the manifold and the ports surfaced, then I'd say that Gordon was being overcautious. But NO-ONE machines those, so I'm in full agreement- the surfaces are sel
I've owned it for 15 years, and never used it. Odd, in the rainy NW, but there it is. $50, or trade me something roadsterly for it. it's a Dynaplastics aftermarket, tall windshield with a glass rear
There is another option, that isn't too much money (compared to the Mikunis)- get a pair of DCOE's. 40's or 45's with smaller chokes. They will take some work, but they are good carbs, and a pair doe

Depends on the year- the cap's vented until 1970. If you have a return- system car, the non- return valve on the back carb can be broken, which will allow fuel to return to the tank in overlarge quan
I still haven't put this on Craigslist, but it's gotta get outa my hair the 2L has to go: It's in downtown Seattle, http://home.comcast.net/~racesales/roadster/yellow_roadster.htm I'm hoping for $18
and here's my opinion, worth exactly as much :-) Personally, for the vintage look I like the 4- spoke Libres. They just kinda... fit. Panasports are good, though... But the racing Panasport is about
I feel compelled to mention that while replacing fasteners is understood to be a good thing, the quality of some of the metric hardware I've found locally has been abysmal. Some of it barely fits. So
