Could someone please tell me the proper foot pounds to torque the intake manifold bolts. Also, is some type gasket sealer recommended along with the new intake gaskets? I am awaiting the arrival of

According to my factory Buick manual, the torque on those 3/8-16 is 25 to 30 foot pounds. Quoting "6. Tighten all manifold to cylinder head bolts a little at a time until all are snug, then torque to

Book says 25-30ftlbs but I have had problems and use less - plus you can't usually get a torque wrench on some of them. The latest foam covered gasket doesn't use any sealant. Regards, Ian /// /// b
