Does anybody have experience driving to events on their race tires? I guess the Kumho/G-Force or whatever are street legal, so that's not an issue - but do they wear dramatically faster that way?

Enno, You can drive any of the steel belted radial race tires to an event with no worry, Kumho, BFG, Yokohama, etc. You don't want to drive to and from an event on Hoosiers which don't have a steel b

I drive to most track events on my Kumhos... they do fine. The scary thing is when you spin out at Buttonwillow and serious cord a tire, and have to drive 3 hours home. :) Good thing I didn't notice

I recall driving to San Berdoo with Perry Kincy a couple of years ago. Perry was well prepared as usual, a new set of Hoosiers on the car, two older ones in the car, and few cans of Bud of course:-).
