Apparently the stated tire width of a tire is very subjective. I've known this for a while, but didnt realize by how much until I have been thinking of going one size wider on front tires on my SE-R

While I know that a 205 tire won't necessarily have a 205mm wide cross-section, I do know that 1 inch equals 25.4mm, not 29.4mm. No biggie. What I don't know for sure is: dos the "205" represent the

The 205 number refers to section width, not tread width. Within a given tire design, a wider section will give a wider tread for the suggested rim width. But the design of the tire affects how much
