I remember someone saying that they were, but I don't remember who it was. I didn't study them that closely myself other than to write down what they were and what size. I did this in grid in the mid

I can think of at least 15 people who disagreed with you enough to compete in said class at Nationals. Does that not speak for itself? Let me ask you, how much money did you spend on tires this year?

You are correct Mark. I didn't know that I was opening Pandora's Box when I showed up at the Peru ProSolo on MXX3's! After discussions with all the top ST drivers at Nationals, I believe all of us ar

I think Loren is absolutely right, you shouldn't have to buy a set of $250 tires to win at Nationals. Simple solution, STR becomes a National class, ST becomes a regional class. For all of those that

You're exactly as much help as Dennis Grant was on this topic. If nobody thought a National street tire class was viable, it never would have been offered. Or, if it had been offered, 15 people would

I've been quiet through most of this discussion, but something occurred to me. What would be one good way to keep people from spending exorbitant amounts on high dollar tires? Raise the minimum tread

Well hello there DG Speaking of tires....wouldn't it be nice to have a truly stock class with truly stock (non-r, possibly above 240 wear rated) streeet tires? Question has been asked so many times h

Why? I ran my first season of autox on the OEM Goodyear RSAs that have a treadwear of like 300. Chewed the hell out of them. It was obvious to me within about 3 events that in order to play this gam

I'd have to do some research to verify that fact. Treadwear ratings are a very fickle thing, and to be honest, I haven't even looked at a tire with a rating of over 200 in several years. Would there
