I have seen it also, But this seems like something they did over a year ago.. showing shots of a 3rd gen RX-7 , and then brushing it off like they didn't show anything. I think that they were trying

i thought the reason they stopped US importing was due to emissions from what I was told. the car gets horrible mileage and it seriously affected their CAFE rating with the US Govt. if anybody knows

Mazda stopped selling the RX-7 because of poor sales. Had nothing to do with fuel economy, maybe a little with emissions. 96 was the first year of ODB-II, the RX-7 was not ODB-II compliant. With such

I don't know the real reason, but I imagine with the small numbers Mazda was selling in the US it probably wasn't worth it to make the RX-7 meet OBD-II standards. Just a theory. Scot '91 CS Miata

How about the "Ford Motor Company" ad with shots of Jaguars, Volvos, Aston-Martins and Mazdas that ends with a shot of an orange Miata just before the words "Ford Motor Company" appears on the screen
