- The cars would have been hand-built back then. It was probably a case of anything goes. None of this any-colour-so-long-as-it's-black stuff at Sunbeam. :-) Russ

- I believe all the Ford model-Ts were all hand painted, sanded and buffed. Although, spray applications were invented earlier, they need to invent the quick drying lacquer materials first before spray
