OK, what if I want to "disconnect" this intake heater hose? Does there need to be flow into the head for another reason, or can I just plug the hose off? Gary

50/50 is best. Yes, you need to drain your system and make the mix half and half. The water is a better heat transfer agent than coolant only. Anti-freeze is really only needed as an anti-freeze; but

Where are you going to get the extra long push rods? Regarding the aluminum retainers, my Formula car has aluminum retainers with a bigger angle on the keeper part, on the advice of the motor builder

I'd stay away from those pumps with the contacts and go with the new solid state ones. Their cheap and trouble free. The brand that I have used exclusively is Facet. Small, goldish, square body. Gary

I would look into one of the suppliers for the retro fitting of a/c into Street Rods. Pick up a "Street Rodder" or similar magazine to get a source. May be a bit of a problem with plumbing and R-12.

An air chisel??? Beware, kiddo. You may just try and use a jigsaw for the side and top, then you'd be able to weld it back in. The bottom seam you may be able to cut the spot welds with one of those
