Don--I can only offer some generalities about springs. The thicker the wire, the higher the rating. The closer the spring is to the road wheel, the more weight it will carry, per inch of compression.

I just replaced my springs with the uprated springs from TRF. If anything, the car sits slightly lower, but the squat is gone. The ride is firm, but not harsh. I think the shocks probably contribute

Well, it depends on driving style, local speed limits and how straight your favourite roads are, but personally I've found fitting adjustable telescopics all round gives real handling improvements -
