Did you put the friction plate in the right way around? It is marked with a specific flywheel side and clutch side. Don't know if putting it in backwards would cause this failure, but maybe... Tim Ho

I used standard parts for a while, but after having 4 throwout bearings fail in a 6 month time period, I upgraded to TRF's magic clutch kit. Haven't had a single problem since. Tim Holbrook 1971 TR6

I did call Clutch Masters and they want me to ship the disc back to them for examination. He indicated that sometimes if there is a misalignment it could cause the disc to separate, but that problem
