The accelerator shaft bushing is tapered on one side & I was wondering if it makes a difference? Does the tapered end go in from inside the car or from in the engine compartment. I tried the socket

I did mine with the engine in the car. It took longer than 5 minutes, but it wasn't a horrible project. I microwaved the bushings a little to make them a little pliable. A not so BA screwdriver did t
