Again, this year, while we're all contemplating gifts for loved ones,
including the one in the garage, take a little time to pick up a
Christmas toy for a kid who may not have much of a Christmas and deposit
it with any of the volunteer organizations in your area with a Christmas
toy drive in progress.
Most larger communities operate the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots program;
most areas in which there is a Salvation Army office have a Christmas
toy program, and many locales have independent programs doing similar
work. Simple things count--preschool hand toys, basketballs, soccer
balls, footballs, games. Small money, big gains, big smiles.
