I just did this on my 74 TR6. The procedure itself is quite simple and
described in the workshop manual. Essentially it goes like this:
(1) remove the splitpin and washer on the end of the shaft located on
the passenger side.
(2) loosen the piece (don't know the name) that connects the throttle
shaft to the shaft that goes to the spindle and carbs. Mark the relative
position for reassembly (I marked two places, but the pedal became too
high anyway so I had to redo the operation, but if you are accurate
things should work out)
(3) pull out the throttle shaft through the driver's side (there isn't
much room, but it should come out after a bit of bending :-)
(4) Install bushings (a bit of plunder though)
(5) reverse operations above.
