Attn: Rik Schlierer
Rik, Thanks for your response to my note a couple weeks ago. I sent a
response to your "rgs03@health.state.ny.us" address but it bounced back as
"undeliverable". Anyway, I had not heard that Ken was unable to fly. If I get
an address, I'll let you know.
I don't know if any of the Houston Club members are going to albany, although
Don Carter, Wayne Switzer, and Russ Seto went to VTR '95. It's possible one of
them will go to VTR '96.
I assume you're asking that because the Dallas club was rumored to have VTR 97.
We here in Houston don't have anything to do with that one, other than to
attend. We have 4 clubs in Texas: Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, & Austin. We
didn't even know that Dallas had volunteered for the Nationals again (we
co-hosted the '87 nationals with them). We asked about it and they said they
wanted to do it on their own this time. More power to 'em!
Regarding the chapter coordinator's job, I was told we were a part of the
Southwest group (Bill Boroughs) rather than Central. I really think there
should be a South Central since we're a long ways from both California and
Ilinois. Anyway, no I don't know anyone who is interested off hand but I'll
make it known to everyone in our next newsletter.
Good luck on the Nationals. I know it's hard work since I co-chaired the '87
outing. If I hit the lotto and get my kids through college, I'll make it to
Albany myself!
Keep in touch, and thanks again for your response.
Regards, Mike Hado - Texas Triumph Register (Houston)
