Chuck,
I plan attend and bring my ex-Clyde Billing Quantum, and plan to do just the
car show and slow speed events, unless there are 5 or more other Quantums
there. In that case, I'll at least plan to run the pace lap and start the
Friday race at the airport for a reunion photo. not sure I have enough skill
to actually race the car for a full race though.

I would call the event definite and there isn't any doubt in my mind that it
will occur as scheduled. This will be the third year the organizers have run
the event, and they are good at it. Also, the chamber of commerce already has
it on their calendar at: http://www.putinbay.com/calendar.htm I guess what is
in doubt would be if we can get enough SAAB race cars there to have a reunion.
We have three cars with me, you and Mary Anne.. I think a good number would be
8 or more.

The event web site is: http://www.pibroadrace.com/ and there is a facebook
page at: http://www.facebook.com/events/151157651612715/

ok here we go! i have been informed that if we show up there might be
a reunion of saab and saab powered race cars at the 2012 put-in-bay event in
ohio. yes! i wrote "there might"! i'm willing to bring the '60 93F #251
AND "brand X" my father's H-mod sports racer(saab 750GT powered) (and if
there is a competition course mary anne will be driving the 93F and i'll be
driving the sports racer) to this event if it comes to be! but to make this
happen we need to gather up our collective cars and really make an effort to
put on a good showing of the saab competition vehicles we own. not 100% yet
but there has been discussion of a road course event on the airport as well as
static displays for those who do not want to race. this is all in the
discussion stage right now! personally i think it is a great chance to gather
as many saab powered race cars at one place that has not really ever been
done. considering the latest media blast about saab , this gathering could be
a great chance for an article or more for publication showing the stuff we are
made of. want to be a part of it? like seeing a picture of your car in a
magazine article(you can not get a chance if you do not show up.) ?
interested in finally meeting the guy that owns that car you saw or heard (no
one ever hears a two stroke ...right?) ? then choose to step up and
participate! names and numbers of cars are needed to share with the
organisers to show we are serious. if you do not choose to reply via the
list, email me directly as i'm doing the to assist other's that have asked me
how many of them are there and would they come?

        thank you for your consideration

        '60 saab 93F #251
        '67 H-mod "brand X" #25
and a hand full of other two stroke saabs too! ;)
this is going for one heck of a stretch here requiring two tow
vehicles and two trailers! but! if the rest of the race car owners choose to
get involved mary anne & i are 100% "in" on this effort!
