My personal favorite is from one of the old "Riverside Records" Sebring
recordings:

Someone was interviewing Denise McLuggage  and ask her how it was out there
practicing her 750 cc Osca  on the course with 4.9 Ferraris and other big
bore sports racers.

Her answer, (parphrased)  was:    " I'm spending all my time trying to find
a line nobody else wants!!! "

I stole her quote a few times . . I remember practice laps at Mansfield,
Louisana when I was toodling around in a formula Vee while Bill Steel was
lapping his ex-F1 Cooper Climax.
