There were delays with the construction of the new 2.6 mile Shenandoah
Circuit - there always are on these things, not the least of which was an
incredible string of the wrong weather at lots of critical times.
I don't know why SVRA went away - I do know that there was some specuation
of doing a "dual event" - half on the Summit Point circuit and then on the
Shenendoah. I can tell you that's not a good idea - the Shenandoah is
complex, a little intimidating (sort of like the Glen except jersey walls
(close) instead of Armco), and has a pretty steep learning curve. It will
reward precision and superior driving.
If anyone is interested, there is a Friday at the Track (FATT) this Fri. on
the new circuit. http://www.bsr-inc.com/FATT.HTM
