driving a computer

Hi all,
Does anybody have any experience using one of the computer steering 
wheels with feedback and brakes?  My local paper did an article on them 
last week and they are reported to be very much like the real thing.  I 
understand that programs are available for all types of racing and 
tracks. Wonder if it helps with your real-time racetrack driving (I 
could use plenty of help)?
