alright! sitting in my driveway is a brand new 2005 haulmark 20' trailer.
after taking evryone's advice, getting almost evry manufacturer's
information and watching ebay's auctions i opted for a dealer in kentucky's
ebay auction for a 20' white haulmark with stone guard, brakes on both
axles and a roof vent and "D" rings installed on the floor with dual
interior lamps.
i returned sunday morning from "learning" how it towed from Ky. to eastern
Pa. behind my vintage chevy van "the lust bus" wich now has over 386,000
miles on it.
so i'll have the only saab riding about in an enclosed trailer! but even
more importaint i'll have a safe dry place to haul my H-modified sports
racer once i sort out it's cooling system issues!
this week i'll be painting the floor of the trailer to preserve it from any
oil / grease contamination and begin outfitting it for the SVRA season
opener at sebring in march.
i would like to thank all of you for sharing your hates and loves with
reguards to your own trailer experiences. it all had a bearing upon my
purchase.
get a national recognised brand, brakes on both axles not the standard 1 of
2 axles (on the size i was buying), exterior color, and a number of other
issues that were shared. thank you all!
and the price was right too! believe me, i "shopped"!
ebay's new and used models, manufacturer direct, and dealers for both 2004
and undelivered special order models as well as 2005 models!
chuck.
hopefully this time of year is treating evryone as well as possible! i
just came inside and it was 17 degrees at 9pm EST. here!
i'm looking forward to sebring in march! warmest thoughts to all!
