pit stop lotus later don's pit stop before closing?(it was 1 more name
after that but i remember there was another name and i think owner change
at that time as well. i think it was "kemmer's if memory serves me right.
they moved the entire operation to another facility near the now defuct C&T
foregin car parts store in mountainville , wich is south of allentown .
whitehall is north and quite honestly both towns are situated so you do not
know when you leave allentown and enter their town.)
when the shop was don's then kemmers they had the rear shop area and
bailey's imported auto parts occupied the showroom area of the building.
they had a sister operation for import parts located in phillipsburg new
joisey.
it was located in whitehall just outside the area's large "whitehall mall".
i worked there as the parts man during it's being pit stop lotus.
don? he was the long haired hippy type who drove a mini woody wagon around.
he later closed the whitehall shop moving himself off into obscurity. the
mechanics who were there moved off to other foregin car shops across the
area.
last i knew the shop was a chinese food establishment but the building
still stands.
john cafrey , current SCCA formula V driver lives near the original
location of pit stop.
ummm, any help?

chuck.
