Pam Fontenot and David Littlefield of Houston, Texas, are pleased to
announce that their wedding ceremony will be conducted at the Chateau
LaFayette Reneau winery in Hector, New York on September 11, 2004 at 7:00
pm.
Pam will be racing a 1972 MG Midget (aka "Felicity") and David will be
racing a 1974 MG Midget (aka "The Gnat") at the SVRA Zippo Grand Prix and
in the 50th Collier Cup race that same weekend. Upon their engagement in
February, Pam and David immediately seized on the idea of being married
in New York during the Zippo Grand Prix festivities.
In the spirit of the weekend, Ms. Fontenot will be wearing a 1951 vintage
wedding dress during the ceremony, while Mr. Littlefield will be wearing
his best "Bond... James Bond" tuxedo. Colors will be black and white (as
in a checkered race flag) and red.
Their first thought was to be married at the Watkins Glen International
racetrack with all the MG vintage racing fraternity in attendance.
Unfortunately, that could not be arranged. So Pam and David chose a
quaint winery about seven miles north of the town of Watkins Glen on the
shore of Lake Seneca. Due to limitations of the venue, attendance will
be limited to a few friends and family. However, Pam and David would
like all their MG friends to join them in spirit, and perhaps give them a
special wave on the racecourse that weekend.
