It was an error, not deliberate. I think what happened was either
Laguna or SCCA confused the "last" weekend with the 4th weekend
in October .. well, October this year has 5 full weekends....
SCCA approached me (Shelby Club) about swapping our Oct Thunderhill date
with CSRG to remove the conflict, but CSRG preferred to keep their
scheduled date.
There was nothing dastardly involved, it was just a booboo. With the
number of Vintage races and club track events, it's getting darn
near impossible to avoid conflicts. We have a quite a few Shelby
club members who have moved up to SCCA vintage, so at least they can
do our club event and SCCA this year. We've already requested our
2005 dates at Thunderhill, waiting to see what date SCCA gets in October.
