Hey y'all,
In our contant efforts of tireless self-promotion, I was quite glad to see
increased visibility of Thicko racers (albeit in less than ideal
circumstances).
Last night, on Speed Channel's "Wind Tunnel" hosted by Dave Despain, they
have a segment that features in camera video from viewers called Hometown
Horsepower. After first showing some lame examples submitted, they show the
in car and aftermath of Tony "Biscuit" Drews rolling his father's ("Uncle
Jack" Drews) beautiful TR4 in the carousel at Road America a few years ago
when a rear axle snapped. (Since that event, Jack has engineeered a Ford
rear axle replacement that's bulletproof.)
For those of you that haven't seen it, Wind Tunnel is the best racing show
on TV. Dave is a rare individual in today's television market in that he's
not shy about expressing an opinion, and that is both informative and
entertaining.
