Well....... two things were correct in the message below. The car is red and
the price is $900.
Unfortunately, it's not a Saab!!
It is a 1969 Sunbeam Alpine GT Fastback Coupe with a rod punched thru the
side of the block. Probably a somewhat rare model... but not quite as
interesting as a 93b to us folks.
I was at Jerry's house at 8:30 ready to head over to Western Auto - a
wrecking yard - but decided to call first so we saved at least part of the
trip. Thanks anyway Charles, for the heads up. Your friend apparently made an
honest mistake since only the rear of the car was visible. I wonder how many
calls Doc at Western Auto will get as a result of this message.
