You will need to apply for a novice permit in order to attend a SCCA school.
Upon completing two single or one double school AND participating in (without
incident) two SCCA regional races, you can apply for a regional license. Most
vintage clubs put you through less to obtain a license. But, everyone honors a
SCCA license which makes it valuable.
