I made a misleading statement here. I am referring to Datsun 240z's. Not all 
earlier production cars.

BTW, how many FJ, FB, FF, Lotus 23, Lotus 7, Elva, even Lotus 11, etc. do you 
see that DO NOT HAVE modern shocks with adjustable spring collars?

Maybe we are barking at the wrong tree.
