Hi Chris.
Just as a note to not waste other peoples time, but the RMVR expressed in a
e-mail (actually 2) that it the policy of the club not to sell any AMB
transponders to non members. I had contacted the RMVR transponder guy last
year, to buy a new bracket for mine (originally purchased from RMVR) and was
rebuffed because I had not renewed my membership. Instead of offering for
me to renew, told me to go somewhere else. Which I did, and received 2 free
brackets.
I would be happy to provide the person this information, off line, to a
contact in getting an AMB, which I have two now.
But also a comment that clubs should take more time in bringing in members
and keeping members than rebuffing them over trivial things. Look at an
opportunity to recruit, rather than making things a "private club." Maybe
RMVR has now changed it's policy, which would be more "friendly" if they
did.
