Well my Datsun Roadster motor is sicker than I thought, 20-35% leakdown #'s,
most of it out the exhaust (bad rings). I overheated it last wknd out by
blowing a H2O seal and finishing the last couple laps with very little water
(VERY high water temps but cool oil and good oil pressure). With the 30%
paycut at work, the new motor project is on indefinte hold, probably just
pull the head, drop the pan, pop the pistons out, hone and re-ring (bearings
as neccesary). What kind of leakdown numbers are you guys getting on similar
motors (4 cylinder, pushrod, hi-compression pistons) fresh, and tired?
