Not Panzo, the name is Panoz, the same guy who runs ALMS. Made his money
with Elan Pharmaceuticals, and has spent a ton of it on ALMS, Panoz cars,
Sebring Raceway, Road Atlanta, etc. etc. Basically, this guy IS
professional sportscar racing in the US. The France family (NASCAR/ISCA)
is trying to compete with him, as they own Daytona and therefore run the
Daytona 24 under their own rules (Grand American Road Racing Assoc.). Sort
of CART vs IRL, or at least that is what France would like you to believe.
