Uh Tom,
One phrase, thirty five year old seat belts.
Since I've been driving the car around on the Toyo
RA-1 DOT tires, the principal danger is that I'll
out brake someone, but have I've also found that being
solidly located behind the wheel is very helpful on
course, and at about $90 for a set of 5 point harness,
its a drop in the bucket (50 Gal drum really) of the
car preparation budget.
>If you are only going to autocross the car for the time being, I
>wouldn't replace the belts. They have to be replaced every 5 years
>anyway, so I'd wait until you're close to your first race before
>replacing them.
All the Best! Dave ;->
