For the record:
The SVRA period history requirement for Group 6 is still in effect. To
qualify a car that has never raced with SVRA must have documentable pre-1973
racing history. I have several procedures for checking that out. At the
present time Group 6 has good participation and there is not a plan to change
the procedures.
My proposal is to allow certain makes and models that we do not have any
examples off to be given a waiver. Cars such as Plymouth Valiant & Barracuda,
Dodge Dart & Challenger, Mecury Cougar come to mind. This is only a proposal
and nothing has changed for now.
