I have been reading the comments and questions about axle transplants for the
Morgan.
During my racing career I have tried three different approaches. I am now
going on to number four so my primary and spare axles are available.
The axle assembly is made up of standard Morgan outer ends grafted onto a Dana
positraction center section. I have been using a 4:59 and have the spare
(never used) set up as a 3.7. After three years of holding up the other end of
my Lotus Twin Cam drive line something inside the 4.59 failed at Daytona.
So I am taking this as an opportunity to put in something with more ( and
easier to change) ratios. I probably have $5000 wrapped up in these two
assemblies but I wll sell the whole set for $1000 plus shipping.
This is a really slick set up and would be perfect for anyone with an early
Morgan to use as a road set up.
Contact me off list if you wish.
