If you have a sharp eye, you might notice that as of this posting, messages
to vintage-race@autox.team.net have the following line added to the trailer
at the bottom of each message sent to the real time list:
Basically, there were a several messages today where a respondent included
the *entire* original message in the reply, for no good reason at all. So from
now on, posts to vintage-race@autox.team.net, like many other lists hosted
here, will get tossed into the bit bucket if people use zero brain cells in
generating their reply.
If you happen to use that brain dead, virus magnet Outlook Express, you will
want to go to the Tools menu, I think it is, and turn off the default behavior
that automatically includes the entire message in your reply. You might also
want to turn off that wonderful little virus propagation feature that
automatically adds the email address of any list poster to your address book.
Folks might appreciate it if you don't unknowingly bombard them with the
latest virus, without you even lifting a finger.
Basically, the 'Death Trailer' is an attempt to stop people from automatically
making their messages five, ten, twenty or whatever times as large as it needs
to be. Soo please, use some common sense and courtesy for your fellow list
subscribers.
