I am trying to find information about a MGA twin cam roadster that has
recently arrived at my shop for repair/restoration work. It has had a
racing life, the scatter shield is still bolted in place, and the owner
says that he traced it back to a Beau Gabler in Texas ?. Who raced it in
the mid 60's. The last time it was painted, 15-20 years ago, the data plate
was removed and the and then lost. Rumor has it that Gabler bought it less
engine and then put a twin cam engine in it and off he went. Rumor also
says this car was owned at one time by a Sebring racer. I believe that
means just what it says. Who ever owned it raced himself at Sebring, not
that this car ever did. The car is an Ugly yellow now and was supposedly
white in the 60's. It is a left hand drive and appears that it was always
left,
Lately we have more twin cams coming in than pushrod A's!
     Thanks
