I am the proud custodian of our family Corvair. I took my mom in Oct 1964
to the dealership for her to pick up here first "new" car that she had ever
owned. It's been in her garage ever since, I now own it and drove it from
SoCal to NW Washington some 5 years ago. It's all original, but cleaned up
and driven occasionally. Took it on a 150 mile jaunt yesterday to a Corvair
club meet. It'll never be sold, daughter is looking forward to taking over
custodianship in the future.
It really means a lot to me and my wife (we borrowed it for our honeymoon
nearly 34 years ago) and my mom (she's 93 and still living in her house in
Anaheim and get a kick out of hearing what we do with the 'vair).
Family things like this are IMPORTANT!
