I have an older Stewart-Warner electronic tach in my race car which isn't
working (the date on the sender is 3/65). The car hasn't
run in 34 years but last weekend I finally started it.
Anybody out there with SW experience? I keep hearing that it may require
new batteries but I have yet to figure out where batteries might be.
I pulled the sending unit apart and it was a couple of capacitors from what
I saw. There was a section not easily accessed due to some sort of potting
material so I can't believe they would be there.
Would batteries be in the Gauge itself?
