Several good examples come to mind. Camee and Christie Edelbrock, (yes,
THAT Edelbrock) go out and thrash dad's butt on the track, never giving
him an inch he didn't earn. Then there's Dick McGovern and his two
daughters who show up with Mom and Dad and just help out in the paddock.
It can be a great source of bonding and comraderie in a family. The only
thing is, the girls have to be interested in it in the first place. My
oldest daughter (13) seems to have no interest in cars whatsoever. Her
younger sister (6) may have more. Only time will tell. Up to now, my
wife and I go away, leaving them with a babysitter. It is a little
dangerous to bring a small child to the track, so caution is advised.
