My wife asked me if I had heard of it several days after the news
broke. All I had to say was that Dale was the "last cowboy" in
NASCAR, and he still wore an open face helmet, which means you
can't wear a proper neck brace. She knows I wear a full face
helmet with a neck brace because she hands them to me at the track!
Actually, the very first thing she did when I bought the race car
was check my life insurance policy...
