Miles, In my experience with a full-size 4x4 Blazer and with off-road racing...if the shocks aren't lasting, consider spreading the work with a rear dual-shock-per-wheel setup (available from off road shops). Select the 4 shocks with less damping than the stock units. The 4 will give better axle control with less work and less heat = longer life.
