Remember Sean Vigle, Lee? I know he did a lot of research....
I lost track of him after he moved from New York....he won the very
comprehensive trivia contest sponsored by Vintage Motorsports, a few years
ago, and I am not even sure he has ANY car.
Sidebar: Lee...Watkins Glen looking pretty good...perhaps even Lime
Rock...see you to exchange some old Mason City, Iowa stories.
If anyone knows Sean's whereabouts, I would be interested.

Subject: Re: Daren Sports Racer...for sure!
Wayne...this is Lee Raskin again. Motorsports trivia...off the top of your
head...won't usually earn you a checker flag. The Encylopedia of Motor Sport
is one of the best reference books that will:
A Daren sports racer...."The Daren GT protype was built/raced by John Green.
The Daren Mark 2 was a Group 6 sports car ( a nice looking McLaren type)
based on steel/aluminium monocoque design....produced at Leighton Buzzard
works. Achieved success at the hands of Peter and Jeremy Richardson in hill
climbs and in he Lucas Formula 3 -engined cars of Martin Raymond....with 21
victories of 25 starts. The Mark 3 appeared in 1971 built for Daren in the
Palliser works at Clapham, London.
That ought to set everyone straight...it's a Daren for sure! Thanks to GN
Georgano and Albert Bochroch....two great motorsport historians of vintage
past.
Remember this....there are no real motorsports trivia experts out
there...only people that have the ability to look up the facts.
Best racing,
Lee
