For those of you still interested in the Aluminum front hubs, I have gotten
the details & pricing.
These will be made out of 6061-T651 Alum and will incorporate the big brake
conversion in the hub (you can bolt the spitfire rotors right to these and
use MGB calipers). These will not work with the stock brake setup. If
there's interest, reman MGB calipers (~$95) and Spitfire rotors (~$20) are
available. The bolt pattern remains at 4 X 4", but the wheel stud size (I
believe) is for 3/8".
So, what the deal here? No hidden business venture - Just a bunch of people
looking to get a great price on some aluminum hubs. We took a stock hub & a
big brake adapter, beefed them up / smoothed them out, and CMM'd them.
Prices as follows:
up to 12 hubs $195 each
up to 24 hubs $160 each
up to 30 hubs $155 each
up to 40 hubs $145 each
remember, it takes 2 hubs per car - and shipping is not included. We're
still working on the payment details, but probably will use paypal.com. The
lead time should be 2 weeks (from final confirmation).
