In case you haven't heard yet, there's a new virus out there that is
similar to the love bug virus that wreaked havoc recently. This variant
sends messages with subjects that start with "FW:" to everyone in your
outlook address book, and then deletes all files from your hard drive
and any network drives you have authority to wipe out. It arrives as a
message (subject starting with "FW:") with an attached randomly named
file that has the ".vbs" extension. If you receive such an e-mail, do
NOT open the attachment, delete the message and then delete it from your
wastebasket / deleted message folder. Computer Associates InoculanIT has
a new virus signature out to catch it, I assume the other anti-virus
vendors do too. This virus is being widely reported on CNN. It seems
to be spreading more slowly, but it's probably worth getting the latest
virus signature file.
