Listers (huh?),
VSCCA is proud to invite all interested parties to spectate at VIR
(Virginia International Raceway) near Danville, Virginia Saturday May 6th
and Sunday May 7th for the inaugural "Governor's Cup" races, featuring the
MG Vintage Racers Focus Event for 2000!
With over 60 dedicated VSCCA cars already registered (eight Alfa Romeo
Giuliettas alone), the weekend promises to be a great show. General
admission is $10.00 per person per day. Details can be found at
www.virclub.com. There is also a race group for selected later cars
including a 289 AC Cobra that was entered at VIR by George Constantine in
1964! Sharing the weekend will be the BMW Car Club of America Club Racing
program, a popular venue subscribing to the "13/13" policy.
Don't forget, VIR is hosting (with the help of VDCA) the Homecoming,
featuring the Gold Cup Historic Races, June 9-11, 2000. With former stars
returning and expanded car and tire eligibility (most prod cars and sedans,
Formula 70, Formula Fords, and all sports racing cars through 1974, if
you've raced at Lime Rock on Labor Day, we have a place for you) this is an
event not to be missed! See www.vintagedrive.com for more info and entry
forms.
