I'll let you know - my car (1958 VAY Special) with a 948 always gets temperature
WAY too fast on the mock grid and keeps it far too long after a track session -
but runs right at 160-180F unless it's REALLY hot outside.
I just built a fan from a surplus Delco dc fan motor ($4.95) and an electric box
fan ($14.95). Draws air like mad through the rad but doesn't seem to block too
much - no physical shroud around the box and almost 2" away from the rad... I'll
let you know what the result is...but I probably won't really know until late
June or July. At any rate - by building it this way, I'm only throwing away $20
if it doesn't work.
