Rod- If it has the 1/4 elliptics, it's definitely a '62-63 as Brian said. The 
'64s
had the semi-elliptics, rollup windows, and the small journal 1098( these are
referred to as MKII1/2's). In early '65, I believe, They went to the large 
journal
1098 which is much  more durable. Vintage acceptability depends on your local
rules, here in RMVR, you can run any factory engine produced prior to 1968, as
long as you declare your true displacement. I haven't had the chance to race my
'62 yet, but everyone I've talked to says the 1/4 elliptic cars are more fun and
more willing to go where you put it.
