Since this is the vintage list, this may not be applicable, but my
company makes a $250 gizmo that plugs into the OBD II connector under
the dash of '96-up cars. It uses your PC to show and record a lot of
the factors you mentioned. With a laptop you can capture vehicle speed,
RPM, throttle position, timing, and about a hundred other things
controlled by the car's OBD II computer. See http://www.autotap.com.
