Actually, the Phil Hill/ Derek Hill Daytona Coupe was built last year. It
was one of the continuation cars built by Shelby and entered at Goodwood by
him.
I agree they were racing, but we could have a lively debate whether the Hills
were racing a vintage car.
Another interesting note is that Sir Stirling left a couple of NASCAR kisses
in the side of the Daytona during the TT. For an in depth report, see the
January 2000 Victory Lane. p.50.
