With a weight distribution hitch one can add a dual cam sway controls by
Reese. Its purpose is to dampen sway before it starts caused by traffic and
cross winds. I installed one on my 22' enclosed trailer and found it to
minimized the sway caused by semi trucks passing me.
Since we are on the subject of towing, is it better to balance the load on
the trailer by moving the load/car forward and aft or should more of the
load be in the tung and transferred to the tow vehicle via the distribution
hitch?

I am turning to "the list" for some help.
I am hauling a 16' enclosed trailer with a Bugeye & race stuff
inside. The
car and stuff is probably about 1 ton and the trailer about the
same. I have
an equalizer hitch on a '96 Blazer and tend to get some swaying
feeling from
time to time. I think the trailer is oscillating slightly from side
to side
(leaning a little left and them a little right). I do have a
friction sway
bar which does seem to help.
Is there some type of shock kit that I can add to the trailer? What
other
possibilities should I pursue?
I also need a spare wheel. The wheels are 15" and have a large (8")
center
hole. The 4 hole bolt pattern is on approx. a 5" radius. I believe
this is
a Dexter wheel. Does anyone have an extra they would like to sell
or know
where I could find one?

motors
in my first year, I guess I'll just sign off -
